I have a yorkie thats about 7 years old, about a month ago she woke up screaming, We couldn't touch her and later on during that day she started feeling better.Today someone knocked on the door and as always she runs towards the door and barks. But today she started barking and then out of nowhere she started screaming really loud. I picked her up, checked her paws and body but nothing, checked the floor, but the floor was clean. she's limping. she's not running or walking, she gets up but lays down again. At times she stills whimper. I picked her up her and she started screaming again. Whats wrong?

She may have dislocated or twisted something. Yorkies get dislocation of their patellas quite commonly and when the kneecap shifts out of its normal position it hurts and the dog won't use the leg.

I would recommend that you have the dog evaluated by your vet for any type of orthopedic problem. Some of these dogs can get by with pain relievers, but some other dogs require surgery, so it is important to know what is wrong.

You can use 1/4 of a baby aspirin twice a day with food to help relieve her pain. Also put her on something soft to lie on. If you have a doggie carrier, that may be a good place to keep her so she is not moving around alot.
