My chinchilla broke his leg a few hours ago in the tibia fibula area. It seems to be a clean break, skin is not open, and so nothing is protruding. I feel simply horrible. I have been looking up some info on the web and wanted some advice. It seems to be a clean break so I can’t imagine that any type of surgery is necessary but of course I am not a vet and need advice. Does this sound like something that could heal if stabilized? Please let me know what my options my be. Oh, and putting him down is not one of them. The poor little guy was a rescue that I was just keeping until I could find a suitable home.
Thanks for your time.
Sara
