My 8 yr old quarter gelding has been diagnosed with rotated coffin bone in both front feet. He is being treated with Isoxsuprine Hydrochloride tabs. 20 mg and a bout of Bute for 10 days. The farrier has lowered the heel and rounded the toes. Is this condition progressive and is there anything else that can done to keep him sound. He is used only as a trail horse over various terrain. The vet thinks he may have foundered at one time. Is there a special diet he should be on?
