We have an 8 year old German Shepherd mix (neutered). He has an enlarged liver - not cancer, but the local vet says that the condition is consistent with cortisone therapy. To our knowledge there has never been any therapy given him.   What would you suggest for treatment. He seems to lack energy, eats well but drinks lots of water.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

The body produces cortisone type chemicals itself. Cushings disease occurs when the adrenal glands produce too much cortisol.

I'd have him checked for that.
