I have a yorky, it is 8 weeks old, it is sick it keeps coughing after waking up from sleeping everytime, we give our puppy medicine "clavmax". my question is, is it normal for my yorkie to keep coughing

Hi dreame,

How long does it continue coughing.
Does it seem like it brings anything up?
How about other times. Like if it gets playing and jumping around, like excited?

It is on antibiotic. What was the vet's suggestion?

Any other problems?

Reply to Peter Bennett, DVM's Post: today we finally go to the vet, benny stopped coughing. he wasn't coughing anything up, but he was on an antibiotic clavamax is what they say he needed. hopefully the vet has a good answer to solve this problem.

it might have been the cold, or getting use to the house with our hard wood floors, also the day we got him he had showed him to our parents, We were told that we need to wait at least three months before we could take him out. is that true? he is only 8 weeks old at approx. 2 pounds?
