Reply to Michele Conrade's Post: Michele, She has not eaten anything out of the ordinary.   We feed our four dogs twice a day. 1/4 cup in the morning and 1/4 at night. An occassional dog treat.

ok ... the first thing that you will need to do is get some fluids into her to keep her from becoming dehydrated. If you have it I would recommend childrens Pedialyte, about an half ounce or so every hour given with an eye dropper if necesary. It is VITAL you keep her hydrated. The dehydration will cause even more problems than you are seeing now. If you can't get her to take the pedialyte you can try chicken broth with a pinch of both salt and sugar added to help keep her electrolytes in balance. I would recommend not giving her anything to eat for the rest of the day, just fluids, to give her tummy time to settle. If she is still vomiting after 9 tonight you can give her a dose of Pepto Bismol (just a small amount - no more than a 1/4 teaspoon because she's so small). Tomorrow you can give her small amounts of a bland diet (chicken breast boiled, chopped and mixed with cooked white rice - 1 part chicken to 3 parts rice with a little chicken broth added for flavor). If you are not seeing major improvements by monday morning I would make her an appointment with your vet to have her checked out.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any qustions or any other problems this evening. I'll be on most on the evening.

Reply to Michele Conrade's Post: You are absolutely awsome, and I can't thank you enough for the information. Our Vet's is closed on the weekends and I didn't think this was life threatening. She ate a little for dinner, and has kept it down. She had a little diarria (opps spelling). I will definatly utilize this site again. My roomate wants to get a great dane some day, right now we have 2 yorkies, a border terrier and a lab/setter mix, Warmest regards. Nancy Baggott
