My 2 year old beagle has recently developed many red irritations all over her underside. Her nose is severely swollen and she seems to be in some discomfort...scratching her nose and the redness. It looks to me that the redness may be bug bites. It concerns me that her nose is so swollen. Is there anything I can do?

You can give her some plain Benadryl as this sounds like an allergic reaction. The low dose is 1mg per pound of dog so if she weighs 25 pounds she'd get one 25mg tablet. The high dose which could make her very sleepy is 2mg per pound of dog so she'd get two 25mg tablets if she is 25 pounds. You can give that dose every 8-12 hours.
If the dog gets worse and the Benadryl isn't helping the swelling etc then you need to see a vet with her and be sure to bring the Benadryl you used along so the vet can see dose info.
If you live where there are fire ants this could be their bites. If there are wasps or bees it might be from that too. You can try a paste of baking soda and water on sore spots to see if the neutralizes the toxin from the bites.
Hope this helps you!
