My minature dashchund had a seizure a month ago. He was treated at the vet and sent home with no meds. Then, 3 days ago he had another one that was a cluster of bad seizures and he had difficulty breathing.   The vet started him on pheonobarb. twice daily for epilepsy. He had no liver damage, and blood work was normal. What I am wondering is, 15 minutes before this last seizure I had fed him a piece of cholcolate brownie with chocolate icecream on it. Is it possible that the chocolate caused the seizure so quickly, and that I should not be giving him meds daily for
epiepsy? Is there blood work to detect epilepsy by my vet?
Thank you.
