We had a sun conure since it was a baby, we hand fed it, had it for a year and then sold it to a loving bird family. It was very hard and then they call me two weeks later and the bird died. They just took it to get its wings clipped, they dropped it at the vet, could the bird have died from internal bleeding? Could it have died from a "broken heart" I'm just very upset as to why a healthy bird would just have jerking motions, keel over, and die. Please help if you can?

Oh no! I am so sorry you have had to endure this double heartache. Do you know if the bird died at the vet's office or later when it was back home? Do you know anything about the qualifications of the vet? Was it a Certified Avian Vet, a regular vet who was supposed to have a lot of exprience with avians or just a regular vet dealing mostly with other types? Is there anything else they told you about how the bird may have acted other than the jerking motions? When you were talking to the people at the time you sold them the bird, did you get a feel for how much bird keeping experience they may or may not have? If you can help me with this extra information and anything else you may have thought of, it will help me to give you my best possible answer and opinions. Thanks, Patricia
