my female pit bull terrier mix was spayed about 3 weeks ...

my female pit bull terrier mix was spayed about 3 weeks ago, the stitches are partially disolving & that area which the stitches are dissolving is swollen & slightly pink but not oozing. do i need to take her to a vet or is there something i can apply to reduce the swelling?

As long as its not oozing, a minor pink color is ok. You can safely put some neosporin on the area, deter her from licking at it, and if needed you can apply a cool compress..not ice..just a cool washcloth. If it turns red, major swelling, feels hot to the touch or does start to have discharge, then a vet visit is in order. Kudos to your for having her spayed :)
