Reply to Gina's Post: He seems to at more like children when they are sick, droopy at times but at times rough housing with the 8 month old boxer. We donot feed them table food and he eats only dyr food. The vomits is clear execpt as I said he does bring up what looks like dog food, but againg he has nothing to eat FOR 8-12 HRS. There is no sign of blood. Bowels seem to be ok.

I would start by giving him a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice with a little cottage cheese to see if he can keep it down. It is very settling to the stomach. You an also make sure he stays hydrated with some plain pedialtye. If he hasn't had a fecal check lately, I would think about getting one to the vet. With vomiting the only symptom you are seeing, I would not be too concerned, especially if there is no lethargy or diarrhea or fever. If you want to check his temp the norm would be between 101-102.5 :) He may even have an acid reflux problem with your vet can treat with Pepcid. Give him this bland meal in small amounts a few times per day and then wean him back to his dog food. Don't let him romp too much with the pup..especially after eating. If he is not better by tomorrow, I would go ahead and see a vet with him. Wishing you all the luck but your best bet is to maintain hydration and settle his tummy :)
