I have a really crazy question. I was at home today at lunch and I was taking my prescription medicine (birth control pill) and it fell on the floor. As I was looking for it I saw my 13 year old Rat Terrier chewing on something and swallowing it. I know it was my pill because I couldn't find it anywhere. Will that affect her in any way? Should I bring her to the doctor? Will it just pass through her?

This happens more than you might think!
This site has a good section in it on birth control pills being eaten by dogs
www.aspca.org/site/DocServer/ vettech__0204.pdf?docID=2083
A lot depends on the amount of progesterone and estrogen in the pill vs your dog's weight as to whether there will be any issues.
I think you might want to call her vet and ask their opinion.
If she just ate it in the last hour you can get her to vomit it up using hydrogen peroxide. You can read about how to do that here
http://www.bichonfriseusa.com/ref/inducevom.htm
Do this only on an easily cleaned surface! If the pill comes up there is no worry as its out of her.
Hope this helps you!
