my 6 yr old german shepherd was running in the park to ...

my 6 yr old german shepherd was running in the park to fetch a ball when she suddenly started limping. She didn't fall, so I am guessing she stepped into a pothole. i felt her paws, she didn't flinch. She's still ready to run around, and is not crying. What is wrong with her? Do I need to take her to the Vet or will keeping her confined and rested help?
