Question

My Yorkshire Terrier has had an eye infection for ...

Sent to Pet Experts April 14, 2006 8:14 a.m.

My Yorkshire Terrier has had an eye infection for several months in spite of the drops and antibacterial the vet gave him. He also has scalie dandruff spots on his back. He had kidney stones about a year ago and has been on Science Diet c/d since then. I think he is allergic to the food since all his eye and skin problems started since he has been on the special diet.

Any comments?
Thank you for your help.

Hi Mary: :)

I have to agree with you on that it could be a food allergy. Many dogs are allergic to certain ingredients. I would suggest trying a more holistic type dog food for you little guy. Eagle Pack brand foods are wonderful. Eagle Pack Maintenance would be the type that would meet your needs for stones and crystals. You can read more about Eagle Pack Foods here

Hope this helps and your baby feels better :)
