Question

Sent to Pet Experts April 12, 2006 2:49 p.m.

my 10 year old pomerainian is yellow, even the whites of her eyes. she is lethargic, depressed, has a dark stool and won't eat... when she does she vomits. she also drinks a lot of water. i have taken her to the vet many times over the years and they diagnosed her with pancreatic problems. this last bout though, has left her & me pretty much helpless. when i take her to the vet they administer under the skin hydration, and injectt her antibiotics - baytril, amoxil, actigall, marin & densoyl (this is from memory so perhaps not spelled correctly) also reglan to fight her vomiting... BUT when i try and do it at home she just throws up... i can't take care of her myself.... AND she is just getting worse. she was hospitalized for six days. i have paid thousands of dollars over the years, and i would pay more if i knew it would help her. my vet says she's "okay" -- she doesn't seem okay... is she? is she in pain? and when do i know it's time to let her go?

signed sad at losing my best friend,
Shireen
