My sister's 6 yr old female rottie hasn't eaten much of late, like
for a week. She was taken to the vet after about a week, and vet
said without testing her, she didn't appear to show signs of being
sick, and to continue to watch her. After taking her back 4 days
later, she has been diagnosed with diabetes, blood sugar of 617.
After several insulin shots yesterday, and today, under vets care,
her blood sugar is only getting higher 675. They do not have her on
fluids yet, as she drank some last night.
Molly had to be carried and put into the car this morning as she
just couldn't walk she was so without energy.
The vet has changed insulin, as he says she was resistant to
that kind. But now on the new kind, her blood sugar is still not
going down.
Can anyone offer ideas, suggestions, experience. Something has
to happen to help her SOON...............
Optional Information: Age: 6; Female; Breed: Rottweiler
