I have a bitch in season that is getting very low ...

Sent to Pet Experts March 30, 2006 6:09 p.m.

I have a bitch in season that is getting very low progesterone readings ( 0.4). I have the stud here and he is semi interested. She has been swollen and bleeding for two weeks. She will also stand and flag for him.
What is going on here?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

If she has been breeding for two weeks I'd suspect that she might have something going on such as an ovarian cyst.

I suspect you need some in person help from a vet who specializes in reproduction.
Hope this helps you!

Relist: I want a different opinion.
I am looking for better info on split seasons. We don't have a cyst as the progesterone is very low.
