my pug is 15 years old and in the past 2 weeks he has been coughing a lot. Today he passed out and urinated on himself. When he woke up he was ready to play and wanted to eat. I am afraid to take him to the vet because of the stress it will put on him. What can I do?

Im going to assume that he hasn't been to the vet very often, especially in the past few years?

Older dogs frequently develop problems that lead to other ones.

I don't think he just passed out last night.

Why would it be so stressful going to the vet's? We're nice people ! Images available only to Customers.
