I'm in desperate need of help...
My dog Snuggle has been doing wonderful..We found out He had Diebites a yr go..and He is doig great with that..And he just had his cataract surgery about 6 months ago..we have been lessing his drops.But went to see the eye Doctor last week for check up.I was just curious about His eyes.He said that Snuggles was developing Cholesterol (he took a blood test).Other then that still keep Snuggles on -prednisoline Acetate every other day(in both eyes), and then Flurbiprofen, (the other day ONLY in the left eye, cause it was the one that showed whiteness of the cholesterol and the whites of His eye was a bit of redness)
okay,So we take Him home ALL things going great.
Now Snuggles doesn't seem himself. He didn't act right or look right.
day 1#-vomited a few times when finished eating
day 2#-did diarrhea just maybe 2 times(very little)
day 3#-seemed lethargic, uncomfortable on his abdomen.He made moaning sounds.
Took Him to hospital, they found ALL His vitals Okay.His sugar was 180....Then They said maybe he has a stomach virus.But if I wanted they would do MORE blood work.I sad how much they said maybe 400.00 or more..i said WHAT!
Next day took Him to the family vet, and Snuggles sugar was- 118...and he gave him...A examination,and Darbazine Injection,and then the following medicines
Darbazine capsule,Diawin,Metronidazole 250mg.. to take every day..
Snuggles after visit STILL wont eat.But we tried our best to jump around and make him maybe want to eat...
Its Totally impossible to give him anything and meds forget it, He will bite..We dance hop and skip around just to toss in down him..
The vet decreased His insulin from 10-units 2-x's a day ...to 5-units 2-x's a day EVEN if he doesn't eat..
Snuggles used to eat allot of Greene's.Do you think that has anything to do with it? if he eats any it's maybe 1-a day..
The vet called me 5 Min's ago, while I was writing you.
He said DON'T worry..Mercy..That's easy for Him to say.HE said Snuggles looks very healthy to Him and He would call tomorrow...and NOT to worry..
Snuggles HATES dog food..and My Son has Spoiled him since Birth by hand feeding him ..He eats boiled chicken, turkey, beef,rice, lettuce..
Snuggles is Male-6 1/2 yrs old
