I have a 10 year old Westie that has Addison's disease. Recently, I noticed a small lump on her leg, so I took her to the vet and had the vet examine the lump. After looking at the lump for 1 minute, the vet said that they "did not like the way the lump felt and wanted to take it off". I am concerned about putting my Westie through surgery due to the Addison's disease and the trauma associated with it. I am just wondering why the vet did not biopsy the lump before recommending surgery. What should I do for my Westie?
