My min schnauzer (3 yrs old) suddenly became ill.
Sent to Pet Experts March 02 07:00 AM

My min schnauzer (3 yrs old) suddenly became ill. vomiting(lasted 3 hrs) and fever.also small red bumps on her tummy. the vet gave her antibiotics and by the next day the rash was severe and all over her body, even around her eyes. the rash is raised and quite rough. it has taken on a purplish color in places. We took her back to the vet and he now has her on antihistimines. It has been 3 days since she became ill and 2 days since the severe rash started and it is not better..She is eating well and her body functions are good. We live in a rural near Memphis, Tn. The vet thinks she ate something outside that gave her a reaction. Any suggestions that I can give to the Doc?

Yes, it is itchy but not extreme. the vomiting subsubsided in about 2-1/2-3 hrs at onset of condition. Rash started 48 hrs ago and worsened 24 hrs ago
