I have a Bichon Frise that has mild to moderate tear

I have a Bichon Frise that has mild to moderate tear stains and has been evaluated by my own vet as well as a veterinary eye specialist. She was put on an antibiotic and it did not help. I was told that if this did not work that I would have to live with it. I have also tried every home remedy that I have heard about without success, from giving her distilled water to every tear stain cleanser sold in the pet store. If you have any advice that you can help me with I would greatly appreciate it.
