Question

My golden retreiver has had runny eyes for about a week.

My golden retreiver has had runny eyes for about a week. He squints alot and keeps his eyes closed often. There has been some whitish drainage also. What could this be?He also takes his paws and rubs his eyes.

He needs to see a vet to find out the cause of this. If he is rubbing them they are irritated. He may have conjunctivitis and needs an antibiotic for them. The rubbing can scratch his corneas and may possibly cause sight problems if it is not corrected.
