I have a spanish mastiff who is 5 years old. He is buff w/black nose & eyebrows. He started peeling from his nose very severely. The vet said it was autoimmune disease & put him on steroids. He is still peeling, it now includes his mouth. He is also clacking his teeth and making a grimace (almost tic-like in appearance). He bleeds from the nose & mouth (I think from the peeling) but we found blood in feces. The vet says there is nothing else to be done! Please let me know what you think? Is there any hope?
