Hi,

I have just brought my new Yorkie home and the breeder told me that he had had a bad BM and that he had been to see a doctor in Cincinnati. She said that his behind had sort of a polyp that would cause him to cry when he tried to go. He seems to strain very hard and has a horrible time going. Please advise me on what this could be. He is on stool softener and I also give him soft dog food, but this does not seem to help. It seems ready to come out and then does not. He seems to be having trouble with his sphincter or something.

Thank you in advance.

Optional Information:
Age: <1; Male; Breed: Yorkshire Terrier

Already Tried:
I have tried stool softeners, Desitin, Vaseline, etc. Even tried spraying bactine on the behind so that it would be somewhat numb when he goes.
