My 1 1/2 year old pit mix has had very loose stools at ...

My 1 1/2 year old pit mix has had very loose stools at random times during the past two weeks. Three times he has used the bathroom in the house by accident and he never does this. It almost looked like he threw up in his cage at the same time. Do you think he is sick or possibly the rawhide I am giving him. I have not changed his diet or anything recently. I am very worried.
