Our horse is 27 years old. Been in the same place all these years. For some reason she is walking slowly, maybe 3 horse links at a time, and then does it again and again and finally makes her way to the water or food. When my husband feeds in the morning she was always at her bucket long before he was there, now the sound of the food hitting seems to trigger her. She is acting strange, possible a bit lame on the right from and almost acting like everything is a delayed reaction. Could she have had a strock and not be seening only hearing? Yesterday she stayed in same small area instead of running over the whole 10 acres. There is no rush to what she does, no trotting, when the other horse would try to eat her foot she would jump back or into him. She not just stands there. Maybe just lame and not feel like moving? She is eating well and drinking well.
