My 11 yr old chihuahua has (it seems sudden) a cloudiness that has a slight bump and doesn't appear wet like the rest of the eye.
It isn't painful, nor is it centered on her cornea but on the laft side of it.
It doesn't appear to be progressing, however and her right eye is slightly cloudy- less so than her left. She isn't in distress and her eyes don't water excessively.
Can you diagnose and tell me some natural way I can treat it at home (saline washes, etc) ?

Thanks You

Optional Information:
Age: 11; Female; Breed: Chihuahua

Already Tried:
Saline washes and daily examinations- watching closely for any changes or discomfort. It seems somewhat stabilized, but I am confused by all the possibilities and don't have a car to get to the vet who is 30 miles away and can't take Rubi on the train. I'm getting the idea that there is liquid under the surface causing a slight white bump that isn't shiny like the other areas of the eye. It is not centered on the cornea and her pupil is still visible.

You can flush the eye with saline twice daily (just plain saline, not made for contacts but for lubrication). Just drip it into the inner corner of the eye and let it run out the outer corner. Then blot it dry. This could be a scratch from an inverted eye lash. They are very common.

If the haziness does not improve, a vet visit will be needed. You don't want to mess around with ocular health.
