Is there a way to stop pit bulls from eating there young?

Is there a way to stop pit bulls from eating there young? We have 11, all seem very healthy and are three days old . Today the mom bit off 1/2 ones foot; any attempt at returning the mom in the same room as all 11 and she attacts them violently. how @ what would I feed them to prevent there dying,,,,, HELP !!!!!!        p.s. a vet fixed the foot but did not give free advise about problem,,, and all that for a low $64.00. THANKFULL FOR ANY ADVICE ,,,,,TRULY!!!
