I have a Dalmation who will be 14 this June 2006. She has arthiritis and hip displasia. The vet has put her on numerous medications but everyone seems to make her sick. She is now starting to loose control over her bowel movement. She is easily knocked over if you walk near her and happen to brush up against her, and has trouble getting out the back door. The ledge of the arcadia door is getting to be to much for her hind legs to handle and unless assited she falls when she attempts to go out. She still wags her tail at the sight of us and loves to be petted gently. I guess my question is how will I know exactly when it is her time? Keeping her any longer in this kind of pain seems wrong, but when she has her good days is just unbearable to think of doing such a thing.
