Question

my bobo health

Sent to Pet Experts January 27, 2006 7:48 p.m.

first remember we have alot of animals so if what i tell you,if the answer is i better get her to the vet,i would have already done that if it was humanly possibel,we have spent just this year 5000dollers on our animals health, now im off work cause of back surgery.well enough of that.my dog bobo was born on goodfriday 1997,he is bleeding bright red blood when he goes poop,he has been doing it sence 1 week after christmas.its a littel slimey sometimes he still is eating drinking.but today he started slowing down and not being his usual rambuctias self.i doubt if you have any home remetys to at least try to save his life but if you do i would be in your debt forever.and his last set of shots was 2 years ago,and then they told us to bring them back in a week for the 2nd series i guess, all of our other dogs required just 1 set..anyway if you can sujest something besides taking him to vet i sure would be happy to try anything.

The only thing that I can suggest is that you change the diet that he's on. I would switch him over to a bland diet of only boiled chicken and white rice. Feed ONLY this for the next 7-10 days. If he improves, feed it until the symptoms are gone. When the symptoms resolve, start to add in a high quality dog food little by little until you phase out the chicken/rice.

I would also collect a fresh stool sample and take it to the vet's office. Most vets won't charge you for an office visit if you bring a sample in (and not the dog) and get a fecal float. Then you can find out if parasites are the root cause. This is the most common scenario.

I hope this helps!

Let me know if you want to discuss this more.
