I know this is a broad question, but I have a 10 lab ...

I know this is a broad question, but I have a 10 lab and he went for a ride with me today. On the way home he vomitited an excessive amount of food, but in addition to this he has now become very unstable. He is unable to keep his balance after he gets up. As of the day before our other lab just got back from the vet after major surgery and is on doggy bed rest. Can the two have anything in common? Is it possible our little patient brought something home from the vet and the other one has contracted something? Please help! Concerned and very tired parent.

Thanks for the reply. It had been several hours since he had eaten though. And now it has been several hours since the ride, but thank you for the advice. We will ride it out for the night and see what tom. a.m. brings
