Lil Girl, a 1 yr. 9 month Shih Tzu, just had her puppies on Friday the 13. We took her to a Vet and they gave her a calcium shot. Since this is the week-end, we have seen a lot of things going on and wonder if it is "normal". The first thing is this morning she got up and ran from one of her places to another, to the bedroom, under the bed, etc. She didn't stay in any one place for more than about 30 seconds. She pants really fast most of the time.   She is a good mama, but she takes off on these so called to me radical running sprees.   She will settle down for awhile, but then she is back at it. Is this normal and am I worrying too much?

Optional Information:
Age: 1; Female; Breed: Shih Tsu

Already Tried:
Putting 1 teaspoon of dry milk in her food everytime I feed her, Gave her a bath and it seem to help slow down the panting for awhile. Talked to her, rubbed her.

Lil Girl seems to be doing a little better today. I feel it was the calcium imbalance that made her the way that she was. I did a lot of reading last night and she was acting the way that a dog does with calcium imbalance. I think it has finally evened itself out. Maybe we can get some sleep tonight. ha, ha...
