My 8 year old beagle jackrussell can not move his front or back legs but hia mental abuilty is ok. Why is this?

vet meds and time

he has been this way for 48 hours and we have been to avet the vet said probably nuergical from a blood clot on the brain stem or tumors mabey

Did they put him on any medication? What is your plan for him? Do they expect him to recover?

If not, you might be forced to make a hard decision. If he cannot walk at all, he can have little quality of life. It also subjects him to urine scald because he will be unable to relieve himself.
