Like people it is normal for a dogs taste buds to sometimes look more obvious. But in your dogs case, they have been apparent for 10 days. If they seem more like a lump or bump, I would be concerned that the dog may have an infection, ulcers or even possibly tumors.

It is hard to say what is really on your dogs tongue without actually being able to see it. You should visit the vet just to be on the safe side.

I'm attaching a link for you to review regarding the dogs tongue: http://home.ivillage.com/pets/symsolve/0,,ljz6-p,00.html

Please let me know how you make out or if you have further questions and concerns.

Peace,
Christina
