My 2 year old Cornish Rex Smokey is having great dificulty Defacating. He's been this way for 2 days. I took him to the VET who was too busy to see him, but gave me "LAXATONE" PASTE to give Smokey. I realize that it takes some time for it to work, but He seems to be getting Dehydrated and lithargic. Is there any other means I can do to help him in the interim..(regardless of how unorthidox it may seem) I feel his pain and am Grunting for him.

Optional Information:
Age: 2; Male; Breed: CORNISH REX-MIXED BREED

Already Tried:
LAXATONE

THANK YOU SO MUCH, THAT'S MORE THAN THE TEXT BOOK RECOMENDATION OF OUR LOCAL VET. IF NOTHING ELSE...I FEEL LIKE I'M TRYING TO DO SOMETHING BESIDES WAIT TILL THE DOCTOR CAN SEE HIM.
