my labradoodle has had pudding like stools for 3 months--we changed him to purina dog chow as per our vet, and the stools continue. he doesn't get any treats, only dog food. what could be causing this

Already Tried:
i have changed his diet from purina puppy chow to purina dog chow. i have quit giving him treats. he is eating only dog food. i feed him 2x daily--in the morning 2 cups, in the evening 1 cup
