my daschound is years old and she has started to grind her

Sent to Pet Experts January 10 07:13 PM

My daschound is 14 years old and she has started to grind her teeth. My worry is, is she to old to have cleaning done with going under. I would hate to have something happen to her.                                                                                   &nbs p;                                         &n bsp;                                                                                   &nbs p;                                         &n bsp;                                                                                   &nbs p;                                         &n bsp;                                                                                   &nbs p;                                         &n bsp;                                J Boston

I would have my vet take a look at them and then he can decide if this is needed. She may have some loose or bad teeth that need to come out. Dental disease can lead to heart disease so you may have to weigh the odds. Be sure they do a complete blood workup to be sure her liver, kidneys, etc. are in good working order before they put her under if they decide she needs it.
