i think my new horse has thrush in out of hoofs i took

I think my new horse has thrush in 3 out of 4 hoofs. I took pics for my own records, to see if it gets worse or better. My vet is unable to get out for another week?? I treating it with tincture iodine and cotton balls and wrapping it up with 3m tape..just the hoofs so the hoof stays clean. Is this a good thing to help with thrush?? I can send pics if this would help. Any help would be GREAT. Thanks Brandi
