You can call and ask what your vet charges for this and find out the options offered. Some people want the dog cremated, some want the ashes returned etc. If you plan to bury the body yourself (if that is legal where you live) then costs might be cheaper.
The next place to check with is to see if your local animal shelter offers euthanasia to the public or not as sometimes that is more reasonably priced. If you have to surrender your dog to have them do it I don't think its really fair to let your dog sit frightened in a cage in that environment until they get around to euthanizing.
