I have a 10 year old Rottweiler. We recently heard the news about "Diamond Dog Food" and I am concerned. She has been sluggish for the past several months. She has several masses on her rib cage, and other various areas. She most recently developed a hard mass on her front right shoulder, and she drags that foot. She hasn't put pressure on in about two months. She stays in the garage, barely coming in to be with the family. She has also stopped eating as much. (man this girl could eat before.) She goes out and pees, not much in the rear dept. She also eats grass every opportunity that she gets. She still drinks water regularly. I am not big on the idea of putting her to sleep, she still seems to get excited to see us when we come home from a long weekend. (she has a dogsitter that stays at the house) She ran up the 3 stairs this past weekend. Anyway, I want to know what if this sluggish behavior is from that food, or if this is typical behavior for her age and the masses on her body, what impact could they be placing on her dailey activities? I don't want to give her surgery for fear she may not come back from the anastesia. We don't feel she is "suffering". I can't speak dog, so maybe I live in a bubble. Please let me know your thoughts on what should be done at this phase.
