i have a week old registered pit pup of pups i noticed

I have a 5 week old registered pit pup(1 of 8 pups)i noticed today that he has a large mass or swelled area on his sternum(center line of rib cage), ribs feel out of shape but don't know if it is from sweeling. Not a fluid pocket already checked, what could it be????
