My small dog's fece's seems to grow a white cottony fungus on it after a couple of days....does this mean she is sick? I have never noticed it before now and I have had her for 16 years.

Not really. Almost all animal 'scat' or feces WILL develope MOLD on it...especially if atmospheric and temperature conditions are right. This type of change to the feces after a day or two, does not usually indicate illness. Any questions though, and you can have your vet run tests on a sample to make sure.

Good Luck! And please remember to click the 'ACCEPT' button within my post to you if I answered your question...and/or...provide more info. Bonuses & feedback are highly appreciated.

Reply to Diana, Th.D. 's Post: Okay, the reason I am asking is because she appears to have lost a little weight and I have never seen her feces get that cottony type of mold on it before. She is eating very well and does not appear sick, just thought it may mean something.
