hi i came home from work tonight noticed my calico quot

Hi, I came home from work tonight & noticed my calico " Callie" favoring her left eye. she is trying to keep it shut. no drainage no obvious signs it is a little red around the outer lid???

Age: 3; Female; Breed: CALICO CAT

Already Tried:
NOTHING I JUST GOT HOME SHE WAS FINE THIS AM & I JUST NEED TO KNOW IF THIS CAN WAIT UNTIL THE TOM. & I CAN TAKE HER TO MY VET

Hi Teri- thanks for you response. No, Callie is an indoor cat. I did find a dead wasp in the tub that could be the culprit? Or conjuntivitis?

It is very possible taht the wasp stung Callie. These viscious insects will go right for the eyes as they must know it disables the victim.
Put a cool compress on Callies eye,however if the swelling does not quickly abate or you suspect that Callie it damage to her eye or an allergic reaction it is highly advisable to see your vet.In addition, DO NOT give Callie ANY human OTC's including benedryl as most are toxic to cats.

Hi teri: Callie's eye looks good this morning & she was back into her usual playful routine. Thanks for the advise I will keep a watch on it
