our year old lb st bernard started having darkredbrown

OUr 6-year old, 142-lb St. Bernard started having dark-red/brown watery stools for 4 days ago. He was prescribed to take Zeel and Glucosamine for his newly diagnosed arthritis. We immediately stopped Zeel and are just giving him Tylenol for arthritis. Would Prilosec (omeprazole) 20 mg daily and Peptobismol be safe for him? Thanks. Anna
