i think my wheaton terrier about lbs was impregnated by

Sent to Pet Experts January 03, 2006 12:27 a.m.

I think my Wheaton Terrier (about 45 lbs) was impregnated by my boyfriends Yellow Lab (about 60-65 lbs). We would welcome these accidental "love pups", but I'm worried if it would endanger my dog's health to breed with a larger dog. Is she at risk?

Age: 6; Female; Breed: Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier

I don't know, I was out of town, person house/pet sitting said they "mated", and I just really need to know if the size difference would be dangerous to her. I will be able to determine if she is pregnant, but I'm just anxious about her safety.

Potentially she could have pups a bit too big to deliver safely.
The best bet is to have your vet do an x-ray about a week before she is due to see if she has any too big to deliver and how many to expect.
You can arrange to plan a c-section if any of the pups appear too large for natural deliver.
Hope this helps you!
