hi i am in need of some help i have a year old yellow

HI!!! I am in need of some help, I have a 5 year old yellow lab who when he stayed a trainers came home with a sore on the tip of his tail, I have taken him to the vet 3 times he has been on antibiotics and they assure me that there is no infection, but, they wrap it and take off the dreesing and within 10 minutes he has licked it open and it is bleeding all over my walls, it is not helaing like it shopuld I can't keep it permenantly wraaped and I don't think that their idea of cropping it is the right solution any ideas
