Are there any human pain relievers that I can give my Great Dane for hip pain. We have run out of Rimadyl and won't be able to get a refill until tomorrow AM.

Nothing yet today, but Rimadyl in the past.

You can give Aspirin (Ascriptin is best). My vet recommends giving 1 per 64# of body weight. Do get the Rimadyl refilled soon though as aspirin can cause stomach upset as well as internal bleeding if given for too long.

Thank you , Joni. I will get the Rimadyl refilled tomorrow morning. He is just in so much pain tonight that he won't even get up.
