8 year old pit bull (male). has suffered with chronic ear infections accompanied with brown exudate for years. changed his diet - exudate is completely gone, ears seems to be much, much better, but i can still hear wetness down inside the deeper part of the canal. i'm afraid vet will want to do "teca" procedure. any suggestions? also, pit has formed skin condition (starts as pimple, quickly dries out to flaking patch causing hair loss) affecting back and top of head. condition started after change in diet and round of vaccinations. what do you think the cause is? should i let the condition take it's course and allow the body to expel whatever toxins are trying to make their way out - or does this sound like a chronic condition? thank you so very much in advance for your help:)
