please help my german shepard suffers from chronic ear

Please help! my german Shepard suffers from chronic ear infections,he has surgery on his ear and the vet gives him a shot, and ointment to put in his ear nothing helps, is there a for sure cure? im fed up with watching my dog suffer, please help me!
